Community Activities Ministry – C.A.M.
The purpose of this ministry is to bridge the gap between the church and the city of Port Arthur. CAM serves to minister to both the helps and the hurts of the community, while seeking to inform and empower the community at large and the citizens of Port Arthur.
Kids On Fire Youth Ministry (ages 5-13)
The Strong Tower Youth Ministry is designed for children ages 5-13. Our purpose is to help our children discover a real and lasting relationship with God through the teaching of the Word of God. We seek to create an environment where they not only praise and worship but they also connect with others as they grow in their faith. The Youth Ministry meeting times are every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm in the Youth Facility.
Kids On Fire Teen Ministry (ages 14-18)
The Strong Tower teen ministry is for teenagers, ages 14-18. We serve our teenagers to help them become true seekers of Jesus Christ. We are committed to training our young people to be stand-out examples of Christ in the schools and within the community. Our desire is for our teens to be rooted in the Word of God so that they can be the salt of the Earth. The Teen Ministry meeting times are every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm in the Youth Facility.
Strong Tower Dance Ministry
The vision of the Strong Tower Dance ministry is to deliver God’s Word through movement so that His Word will be made plain for them to understand. We seek to educate all ages on the history and structure of Liturgical dance and to reach out to all in order to spread the ministry of dance and the power that it can produce. The Power of 1 Marriage Ministry
The purpose of the Power of 1 Marriage Ministry is to help couples thrive in their marriage by providing Biblical tools in order to build a healthy and successful bond. We believe that when marriages are strong, then families are strong. When families are strong, then communities are strong. This ministry seeks to play a pivotal role in the building of the marriage union. This ministry is for married and engaged couples. The Power of 1 Marriage ministry meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose room.
Strong Tower Music Ministry
The Strong Tower Music Ministry magnifies our God through praise and worship that commands God’s presence to shift the atmosphere. Our anointed Music Ministry praises our King every Sunday morning as they lead us into the presence of God. From contemporary, traditional and praise and worship, our singers and musicians lead us in a variety of genres that not only uplift the King but encourages the hearer. The Strong Tower Music ministry rehearses every Monday night from 6-6:45 for the youth choir, and 7 pm for the adult choir and praise team in the Strong Tower sanctuary.
Strong Tower Usher Ministry
The Strong Tower Ushers’ Ministry are for those who serve in the area of being a doorkeeper and greeter. Our ushers’ ministry offers service in our church by maintaining order within our services with a spirit of excellence and servitude. Deacons’ Ministry
The goal of the Strong Tower Deacons’ Ministry is to be the most responsible, effective, and respected ministry at Strong Tower. The purpose of our ministry is to meet the ever-growing needs of the church and the other various ministries. This ministry follows the Acts 6 model, where the focus of the deacon is the service to the church. This role is not only vital, but it is also Biblical and critical to the growth and overall care of Strong Tower. The men in this role must meet the qualifications laid out in 1 Timothy 3:8-13 and be in good standing with the core beliefs of the church.
Audio and Video Ministry
The purpose of the Audio and Video Ministry is to serve God by reaching the congregation and community using technology to spread His Word through multimedia. The Ministry range from sound management to video streaming as a worship and outreach tool.
Strong Tower Wellness Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to provide individuals with the necessary information for them to live healthy lives. We not only focus on the spiritual man, but we focus on the physical man and the health of the person. 3 John 2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers.” The health ministry provides aid during crisis and offers education to all in order to live a healthier life.
Strong Tower Teaching Ministry
We believe that true growth comes from the Word of God, which makes the teaching ministry of vital importance. The teaching ministry seeks to explain with accuracy the Word of God for the believer to grow into a true and complete understanding of God and the Bible. From our Sunday School department, Wednesday night Bible study or Pastor Herb’s Tuesday morning teaching, we believe that the Word must be taught by called and anointed teachers capable of declaring the Word of God.
- Sunday School times: Sunday morning from 8:30-9:15 am in our Multi-Purpose room.
- Wednesday night Bible study begins at 6:30 pm for all ages in the Church and Youth Facility.
Educational Ministry
We seek to not only build up the person spiritually and physically, but also mentally in the area of education. Our education ministry is designed for elementary, middle and high school students that seek assistance with core subjects and testing. Our objective is to offer teaching and training to students as they reach for the stars within the classroom.
Tower of Faith Ministry
The Tower of Faith is a prayer-based ministry that prays on behalf of those who may be ill, who may have various health concerns, etc.
The Tower of Faith Ministry is also a source of compassion, care, and support to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. If you have experienced the death of a loved one contact one of the members of the Tower of Faith Ministry.
